In april I got a mail by Jeremy Gray, staff writer from PetaPixel (a photography news site that covers photo and camera news, reviews, inspiration, and education).

I was asked by Andreea Popescu if I want to work on an interview for the Romanian website www.drumetisidrumetii.com, a beautiful and inspiring website for nature photographers and mountaineers. The interview is bilingual: English and Romanian.
The publishing house 'Knesebeck' has launched this book about the beautiful nature of the south of Germany and the Vosges in cooperation with the 'Regional Group Baden' of the GDT (Association for Wildlife and Nature Photography), where I am a member of. I am very pleased that also many of my images make part of this book. It has become a beautiful book with great pictures, informative texts and a very nice layout.

Species Conservation Calendar 2016
My image of a puffin is one of the photos, which adorns these special bilingual (English and German) calendar. Then it's for a long time very quiet around you and then you are suddenly in the 'spotlight'. So last Sunday I was interviewed by Radio Horizon during a live broadcast and today there was a big article about me and my winning photo in the newspaper 'Eindhoven Dagblad' on page 3, very nicely written by Riet Pijnappel (reporter BNDeStem)!

"I can still remember the first image I saw from Heike, trees in the mist with fresh greens and a line of blue bell flowers. A strong image with great graphical lines and color contrast, this is what you see in all her landscape images. Heike has a great photographic eye. Her graphical translation of a landscape in combination with a good feeling for combining mood and contrast makes her images just ' pop-out' and you hear people say 'WOW, a real Heike !..." (2014).
