Born and raised in the south of Germany, I have lived in the southern part of the Netherlands since the age of sixteen. My love for beautiful nature photography began early in life. As a child, I was fascinated by pictures and dreamed of standing behind the camera myself, photographing wild animals and breathtaking landscapes. At the time, I never imagined that this dream would one day come true.
In 2002, I decided to seriously dedicate myself to nature photography. My first trip to Iceland was my first journey made purely in the name of photography. It is an indescribable feeling to experience nature in this way. Over the years, nature and wildlife photography have become more than just a passion for me - it is a way of life.
"Nature is like a book that can never be fully read. Every time you return to it, the book seems to grow thicker. I practice nature photography in a fair and responsible manner, because after all, we are only guests in nature."
I am a member of the NFG (Nature Photographers Guild), the GDT (Society of Nature Photography), and Nature First, the Alliance for Responsible Nature Photography.

Leave nothing but footprints.
Kill nothing but time.'
